BAG OF DREAMS

It's all we had when we built 30amp and it’s all that most artists have throughout their journey surfing the wave between art and commerce. If you’re not an artist, you can’t understand the very simple premise that to most, the calling and power of the art is so strong that it’s hard to get through life doing anything else….despite the tremendous odds and guaranteed financial hardship. From this calling comes the now ubiquitous term “starving artist”.

Ah, but the dreams we carry in our hearts, our souls and our bags keep us moving forward. In a symbolic gesture to match your support and belief in 30amps dreamers and our collective dream, we “bag”all patrons who support us with a tax deductible $5000 contribution. All hand made by our Executive Director Keith Scriven.

AN INTERVIEW WITH THE BAG'S DESIGNERS ON THE MAKING OF THE BAG

by Ursula Rucker

wish ALL OF IT
could be turned into
a bag of dreams

all of it.
ALL OF the fears
ALL OF the self-doubts
ALL OF the…
everythings that meant
and were made to
crush good, sweet, fruitful…dreams

I’d like to turn ALL OF IT
into a BAG OF DREAMS
a bag that can transform n transmute…
the fears
the self-doubts
and the oh-so-many
ill-intentioned everythings
into hopes,
wishes,
and well…
the best,
sweetest,
and most fruitful of…
DREAMS

and this bag won’t hold these dreams captive
it will instead…
carry
care for
and cocoon them
until ripe…
until ready…

to fly…
to shine…
TO BE

good, sweet, fruitful… DREAMING 💭
